The Quilt: A Living History of African American Music (Film Screening)
DFW premiere of the award winning documentary for adults & children produced by Musical Bridges Around the World (MBAW), a performing arts nonprofit in San Antonio, TX. The cast includes DFW based Arlington Jones and various San Antonio artists. The film will be followed by an interactive Q&A hosted by Arlington Jones and a special greeting from Screenwriter & Actor Cynthia Freeman Gibbs.

A cultural celebration of electrifying music, dance and arts featuring Arlington Jones & The Soul Chamber Band with special guests showcasing a collaboration of movement & sound and a traditional dress runway of Nigerian, Native & Korean styles.

Justin Lyons The GuitarSlayer
Dallas-based guitarist Justin Lyons is one of the most versatile and entertaining figures on the scene, possessing a mastery of Rock, Gospel, Jazz, Hip Hop, Punk Pop, K-Pop and everything in between. Known for his energetic theatrics and onstage personality, Justin has shared the stage and studio with some of the world’s top musical artists, including Lil Wayne, Chrisette Michele, Mindless Behavior, Tank, Tamela Mann, Vivian Green and Bobby Brown. He currently serves as a touring guitarist for Machine Gun Kelly. Justin is also an accomplished composer and producer who works with Grammy winners and nominees, while still finding the time to write, record, and produce his own projects. His unique style blends technical prowess with soulful expression, creating a musical experience that resonates deeply with listeners.

Jisun Choi
An accomplished pianist and educator, Jisun Choi (Piano) studied music at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, Korea. During this time Jisun was playing with many different Jazz and Pop artists in lots of the top venues in Korea. She then came to the states after winning a scholarship from the world scholarship tour at Berklee College of Music. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music in 2005, Jisun came to the University of North Texas to pursue her Master’s degree in the world renowned Jazz Studies program. In 2007, Jisun recorded an album entitled ‘Look Between Us’ as a member of the band ‘Forjak’ and had a tour in Japan and Korea in the summer of 2007. In the winter of 2007, Jisun took her own jazz trio to Korea and held a series of successful concerts. In 2011 Jisun recorded her debut album ‘UP’ on Mirrorball Music which has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike. She then took her band to Korea for a tour to promote the record. While in Korea, Jisun and her band were featured on the television show “EBS Space”. The Album ‘UP’ was nominated to 2012 Korean Music Award on the best Jazz&Crossover(performance). Jisun was also a featured artist at Denton Arts and Jazz Festival in Denton, TX in May 2011 and 2012. Jisun is currently on faculty at Brookhaven College teaching Jazz piano, directing Jazz Big Band and Jazz Combo

Ausben Jordan “King Aus”
King Aus is a celebrated artist renowned for his influential contributions to Club and Street Dance styles worldwide. With over 17 years of professional experience in theatre and film in NYC, LA, and internationally, he holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and a minor in Dance. King Aus founded the Imperial House Of Waacking, is a member of the iconic House Of Ninja, and serves as the International Father of the House of Ultra Omni. As a valued member of the Universal Zulu Nation, he has connected the global dance community, teaching Vogue and Waacking in over 59 countries.
His impressive collaborations include working with Kendrick Lamar, Loreen, Madonna, Wayne Brady, Tyra Banks, and contributing to events like HBO’s Legendary Max, Eurovision, Live To Dance, and ABDC. With over 20 years of industry experience, King Aus continues to create captivating performances and mentor the next generation of dancers.
He owns Honor The Culture, a company dedicated to the education of street dance styles, providing structure, history, and professional guidance. King Aus is also developing a cultural exchange program for dance institutions, embodying his motto, “If you can move, you can dance.” His commitment to arts education and the international dance community solidifies his role as a leading force in dance and entertainment.

Jenny Lobo
“Let me introduce myself my name is Jenny Carolina Lobo Picon, a grateful and fortunate daughter of parents who loved and guided me with intelligence, values and love, the chemical engineer Miguel Lobo and the obstetrician-gynecologist Mirian Picon, I am happily married for almost a dozen years who is my best friend, my support with whom I had two children, Salvador and Sebastian, together my true success… my family, my eternal grace.
Venezuelan, exactly of Maracay, the so-called garden city of my country, I studied law and I am a specialist in criminal law, I exercised it formally but my passion was already very strong in me, I am a flamenco dancer, I have a flamenco heart and what is in the heart cannot be hidden.
All this fuse of the love of flamenco was born in my childhood, in my country it is a custom that will lead us to form part of the school in other schools, so I swam for 14 years, and I was in dances since my four years in ballet classical, Venezuelan nationalist dances, Arabic dance, salsa, casino, tap and jazz, but just at nine years old, my parents bought tickets to see the Spanish national ballet show this would be in the most impressive theater of my country in the capital “Caracas” that was an hour away from my hometown, we attended the event too much I would be telling you how fabulous it was, because I left zapateando, I came out believing flamenco dancer, I left convinced that I wanted to learn that dance, that I wanted to be like each one of those bailaoras who inspired me with their discipline and impressive art.”

Caleb Berry “Kakashi”
Caleb Berry aka Kakashi has been immersed in the world of dance for 17 years, with 15 of those years dedicated to teaching. He has made a significant impact as a top dancer at various studios across Florida and Texas. An all-style dancer, Caleb is efficient in multiple styles such as breaking, waving, hip-hop, and other styles.

Powerhouse Grammy winning vocalist and star of the Oscar Winning Film “Twenty Feet From Stardom” Lisa Fischer joins forces with Steinway Artist Arlington Jones for a dynamic experience of musical creativity that will bless the soul. After four decades of singing background for icons like The Rolling Stones, Luther Vandross, Sting, Tina Turner and Nine Inch Nails, Ms. Fischer has taken center stage with her celebrated vocal prowess.

Set in the 1930s at the height of the jazz age, Promise of the Heart is a story of Abe who follows his heart and leads his family on a journey to find global success in the music business but his dreams and destiny are almost derailed by despair, deceit, death and doubt.
The new style of opera, developed by Arlington & Hope Jones, combines classical, jazz, and soul music to create an avant-garde sound and an enduring experience.
